February: photos post

February is a few days shorter than January, but I processed half as many photos in February as I did in January! Two more sets in February than January (9 versus 7), but most of the sets were small, and there were way fewer big sets.

So, that’s 9 sets off the queue and 10 sets onto the queue, but those 10 sets contain 3,085 pictures. That’ll be fun.

Around the Mountain Circuit (January 2023)

After we got back from the South Island, we had scheduled the Around the Mountain Circuit around Taranaki. As opposed to the Round the Mountain Track around Ruapehu. I flew back to Canada the day after finishing the AMC.

Sunrise over Holly Hut; Bells Falls; hoodoos on the river; inside Kahui Hut; branch; reflections; golden hour on the riverbed.
Looking for maunga; MP on an easy streambed walk; reddish slopes; chiaroscuro on Taranaki slopes; now fewer clouds on Taranaki; maunga with hat at dawn.
Stream; leaves and new leaves; bright cloud; narrow path; tussock slope; bad day for a boardwalk; falls near Wilkies; Manganui public shelter; me back at North Egmont Visitor Centre.

Regina (January 2025)

First time in Regina, for the Saskatchewan Open.

Bus providing the YKF-YYZ Air Canada segment; no FOD; not a polar bear in frigid Regina; ippon at the Sask Open; more newaza; Sunday morning's chilly walk; pinkish sky at 4pm; Prairie topography under snow.
